Circuit board connectors in surface mounted technology (SMT)
Constant miniaturisation of electronic components leads to increasingly compact circuit boards with surface mounted devices. Connectors have to follow this trend. The connectors supplied by Fischer Elektronik in the modular sizes 1.27 mm, 2.0 mm and 2.54 mm meet this requirement. Our production range comprises single- or double-row, vertical and horizontal designs. The contact surface may have a gold or tinned or selective gold-plated finish. The insulators are made from heat-resistant plastic which is suitable for SMT soldering processes such as infrared soldering. For automatic insertion of the connectors, the necessary mounting aids such as pick and place pads are offered in addition to bar magazines and tape and reel. The range is continuously extended.
