Universal tube cases UTG

Closed tube profile offer many advantages over casings made from sheet metal parts or open extrusion profiles as a basic structure for cases. These for example include the robust design for industrial use in rough environments, easy assembly of electronic components thanks to the guide grooves integrated inside the profiles, good EMC screening properties, and not least of all the possibility of protecting the tube cases from negative external factors such as moisture, dust and dirt with little effort. In this regard, Fischer Elektronik has expanded its comprehensive range of cases by further variants of these special tube cases. The new universal tube cases UTG are designed to accommodate the 100 mm wide standard euroboards as well as non-standardized circuit boards with a width of 50 and 67 mm. The UTG cases are available in three size versions, five lengths (75, 100, 150, 160, 200 mm), and three different finishes (SA, MS, LP) as a standard. For customer-specific mould validations and custom designs, the case profiles are also available in a length of 1000 mm. An EMC-compliant version is enabled by the use of electrically conductive, transparent, passivized finishes of the LP variant. In parallel to the standard designs, the cases can also be mechanically processed, surface-treated and printed to the customer’s specifications. The UTG cases are delivered as a disassembled construction kit including cover plates and assembly materials.
